Ride along the breathtaking Adriatic coast on the famous Adriatic Highway, one of the most scenic motorcycle roads in Europe.
Starting and ending in Banja Luka, this journey takes you across Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with stops at the UNESCO-listed Plitvice Lakes and the historic cities of Mostar, Sarajevo, and Dubrovnik.
Highlights include the abandoned Zeljava underground airbase and the island of Brač with its famous Golden Horn beach, making this one of the most memorable motorcycle tours in the Balkans.
Arriving in Banja Luka, we greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Settle in and explore the city's cafes, landmarks, and riverfront views. In the afternoon our guides give a tour briefing and a short introductory ride. We end the day with a welcome dinner and a toast to the days ahead.
DAY02Bosnia's countryside and abandoned airbase
We head northwest into the Bosanska Krajina region, cruising along Manjaca Mountain and the historic Put AVNOJ road. Crossing into Croatia, we reach Zeljava, a massive abandoned Cold War airbase. Our day concludes at the UNESCO-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park, a marvel of cascading waterfalls and turquoise lakes.
DAY03Croatian coastal roads to Zadar
We descend through the mountains until the Adriatic suddenly opens in front of us. From Senj we join the famous Adriatic Highway, one of the best motorcycle roads in Europe. The stretch through Karlobag to Starigrad offers endless curves and stunning coastal views, finishing in the historic city of Zadar.
DAY04Adriatic Highway to Brač Island
Leaving Zadar, we continue south on the Jadranska magistrala, winding along Croatia's coastline through Sibenik and Trogir before arriving in Split. Here we board a short ferry to the island of Brač. Our destination is Bol, home to Zlatni Rat beach, often hailed as one of the most beautiful in Croatia.
DAY05Rest Day on Brač Island
Enjoy a rest day on Brač. Relax on Zlatni Rat beach, explore hidden coves, or ride up to Mount Vidova Gora, the highest peak on the Adriatic islands, for panoramic views. Savor fresh seafood in charming seaside restaurants. Today is all about recharging.
DAY06Scenic ferry and coastal ride to Dubrovnik
We ferry back to the mainland and resume the coastal drive toward Dubrovnik. Along the way we pass the Peljesac Bridge and stop at Ston, known for its 5.5 km wall. In the afternoon we arrive in Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, ending the day in Trebinje, Bosnia's southernmost town.
DAY07Cultural heritage and scenic mountain roads
From Trebinje we visit the UNESCO-listed stecci tombstones at Radimlja, then Blagaj Tekke, a 16th-century Dervish monastery beside the Buna River. We continue to Mostar to see the iconic Stari Most, then wind through Jablanica and Konjic, arriving in Sarajevo, Bosnia's lively capital.
DAY08Ancient pyramids and return to Banja Luka
From Sarajevo we stop to uncover the mystery of Bosnia's ancient pyramids in Visoko, then ride to the historic town of Jajce with its medieval fortress and waterfall. Our route passes through two magnificent canyons along the Vrbas River back to Banja Luka, a perfect finale.
DAY09Final reflections in Banja Luka
Today marks the end of an incredible journey from historic mountain roads to coastal highways. Take a moment to reflect on the landscapes, the open roads, and the shared memories from this journey through Bosnia and Croatia.
