Welcome to Banja Luka. We greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Take the afternoon to unwind among the city's cafes, shops, and riverfront. Later, meet your guides for a briefing and a short ride to get familiar with your bike, followed by a welcome dinner.
DAY02Into Bosanska Krajina and the Zeljava airbase
Our adventure begins through the Bosanska Krajina region. Crossing into Croatia, we stop at the Zeljava Airbase, a hidden Cold War relic built into the mountain. By afternoon we arrive at Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its waterfalls and turquoise lakes.
DAY03Coastal views on the road to Zadar
Today we take on one of Europe's most celebrated coastal roads from Senj to Karlobag, with endless views of the Adriatic and twisting roads carved into the cliffs. Our destination is Zadar, a historic port city with a lively old town and Roman ruins.
DAY04Adriatic Highway and island life on Brač
We continue south on the legendary Jadranska magistrala. Passing through Sibenik and Trogir, we reach Split, where a short ferry brings us to Brač Island, home to Zlatni Rat. We settle in for two nights to explore the island's scenic routes.
DAY05Rest Day on Brač
Take a day to recharge. Swim at Zlatni Rat, wander hidden coves, or ride up to Vidova Gora, the Adriatic's highest peak, for sweeping views. Enjoy a leisurely seafood lunch and soak up Croatia's coastal charm.
DAY06Ferry back and road to Dubrovnik
We ferry back to the mainland and set off toward Dubrovnik, crossing the Peljesac Bridge and stopping in Ston, known for its long fortress wall. By late afternoon we arrive in Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, to spend the evening in its historic old town.
DAY07Bay of Kotor and the Lovćen challenge
We ride south into Montenegro, beginning with the stunning Bay of Kotor. From here we climb Lovćen Mountain, tackling 25 sharp serpentines rewarded with breathtaking views. At the summit we visit the Njegos Mausoleum before descending to Podgorica.
DAY08The Albanian Stelvio, Tara Canyon and Zabljak
This day takes us into Albania to conquer SH20, the Albanian Stelvio, famous for its steep hairpins and remote mountain views. Re-entering Montenegro, we follow the Tara River Canyon, the deepest in Europe, to the mountain town of Zabljak in Durmitor National Park.
DAY09Into the heart of Durmitor National Park
A day dedicated to Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO site. We ride narrow mountain roads surrounded by alpine landscapes, dense forests, and glacial lakes, passing Sedlo Pass and the dramatic Tara Canyon through Montenegro's wild terrain.
DAY10Montenegro's mountain roads to Trebinje
We ride through Montenegro's backroads toward Niksic and cross back into Bosnia, passing Lake Bileca before reaching Trebinje, a picturesque town with a Mediterranean feel. Spend the evening exploring its historic old town.
DAY11UNESCO treasures and historic towns
From Trebinje we visit the Radimlja necropolis with its ancient Stecci tombstones, then Blagaj Tekke at the source of the Buna River. Our route brings us to Mostar and its iconic Old Bridge, ending the day in Sarajevo.
DAY12Rest Day in Sarajevo
Enjoy a rest day in Sarajevo. Wander the old bazaars, visit landmarks from the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian eras, or relax with a Bosnian coffee. A day to experience the city's blend of cultures at your own pace.
DAY13Bosnian pyramids and return to Banja Luka
We leave Sarajevo to visit the Bosnian pyramids near Visoko, then ride to Jajce with its medieval fortress and waterfall. Our route follows two scenic canyons of the Vrbas River back to Banja Luka.
DAY14Departure
As the journey ends, enjoy a relaxed day in Banja Luka and reflect on the landscapes, roads, and experiences shared over two weeks. Until next time, safe travels, and we look forward to riding with you again.
