Arrive in Banja Luka, the starting point of your self-guided tour through the Balkans. Transfer to your hotel and relax after your journey. Explore the city or enjoy a short optional ride to get familiar with your motorcycle. Detailed route information and navigation will be provided for the days ahead.
DAY02Into Bosanska Krajina and the Zeljava airbase
Ride through the scenic backroads of Bosanska Krajina, one of the most enjoyable riding regions in Bosnia. Cross into Croatia and visit the abandoned Zeljava Airbase, a unique Cold War site hidden inside the mountain. Continue to Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site of waterfalls and turquoise lakes.
DAY03Adriatic Highway ride to Zadar
Ride one of Europe's most iconic coastal routes along the legendary Adriatic Highway, from Senj via Karlobag to Starigrad, with endless sea views and sweeping curves carved into the cliffs. Continue to Zadar, known for its Roman heritage and vibrant old town.
DAY04Adriatic Highway and island life on Brač
Continue south along the Adriatic Highway, passing Sibenik and Trogir on the way to Split. From Split, take a short ferry to Brač Island, known for its unique beaches and Mediterranean atmosphere, including the famous Zlatni Rat.
DAY05Rest Day on Brač
Enjoy a flexible day on Brač Island. Relax by the sea, swim at Zlatni Rat, or take an optional ride across the island. Riders can head up to Vidova Gora, the highest peak in the Adriatic islands, for panoramic views.
DAY06Ferry back and road to Dubrovnik
Take the ferry back to the mainland and continue south toward Dubrovnik. Cross the Peljesac Bridge and pass through Ston, known for its historic stone walls, before reaching Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic.
DAY07Bay of Kotor and the Lovćen challenge
Ride into Montenegro and follow the Bay of Kotor, where the Adriatic meets dramatic mountain scenery. Climb the famous Lovćen Mountain road, tackling its 25 serpentines with panoramic views, via the Njegos Mausoleum, before descending towards Podgorica.
DAY08The Albanian Stelvio, Tara Canyon and Zabljak
Ride into Albania and take on SH20, the Albanian Stelvio, famous for its tight hairpins and remote scenery. Re-enter Montenegro and follow the Tara Canyon, the deepest in Europe, before reaching Zabljak in Durmitor National Park.
DAY09Into the heart of Durmitor
Ride through Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO-listed region of dramatic mountains, forests, and glacial lakes. Cross the famous Sedlo Pass and continue along Piva Lake and through the Piva Canyon, a perfect combination of flowing roads and stunning scenery.
DAY10Montenegro's mountain roads to Trebinje
Ride Montenegro's scenic mountain roads towards Niksic, then cross back into Bosnia. Follow the route around Bileca Lake and continue to Trebinje, a charming town with a Mediterranean atmosphere and historic old town.
DAY11UNESCO treasures and historic towns
Ride through Herzegovina and explore key cultural landmarks. Visit the Radimlja necropolis with its medieval Stecci tombstones, Blagaj Tekke at the source of the Buna River, and Mostar with its iconic Old Bridge. End the day in Sarajevo.
DAY12Rest Day in Sarajevo
Enjoy a flexible day in Sarajevo, known for its mix of cultures and rich history. Explore the old bazaar, visit Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian landmarks, or relax with a traditional Bosnian coffee.
DAY13Bosnian pyramids and return to Banja Luka
Ride from Sarajevo towards Visoko to visit the Bosnian Pyramids. Continue to Jajce, known for its medieval fortress and central waterfall, before following scenic roads through the canyons of the Vrbas River back to Banja Luka.
DAY14Departure
Departure from Banja Luka. Transfer to the airport or continue your journey, taking with you the memories of the Adriatic coast, mountain roads, and the diverse landscapes of the Balkans.
