    Arrival in Banja Luka – Beginning of the Journey

    Arrive in Banja Luka, the starting point of your self guided motorcycle tour through the Balkans. Transfer to your hotel and take time to relax after your journey. Explore the city or enjoy a short optional ride to get familiar with your motorcycle. Detailed route information and navigation will be provided for the days ahead.

    Into Bosanska Krajina & the Abandoned Željava Airbase

    Ride through the scenic backroads of Bosanska Krajina, one of the most enjoyable riding regions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Cross into Croatia and visit the abandoned Željava Airbase, a unique Cold War site hidden inside the mountain. Continue towards Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its waterfalls and turquoise lakes.

    Adriatic Highway Ride to Zadar

    Ride one of Europe’s most iconic coastal routes along the legendary Adriatic Highway, from Senj via Karlobag to Starigrad. This stretch offers endless sea views, sweeping curves, and pure riding enjoyment carved into the cliffs. Continue towards Zadar, a historic coastal city known for its Roman heritage and vibrant old town.

    Adriatic Highway & Island Life on Brač

    Continue south along the Adriatic Highway, passing through coastal towns like Šibenik and Trogir on your way to Split. From Split, take a short ferry ride to Brač Island, known for its unique beaches and Mediterranean atmosphere, including the famous Zlatni Rat.

    Rest Day on Brač

    Enjoy a flexible day on Brač Island. Relax by the sea, swim at Zlatni Rat, or take an optional ride across the island. For those who want to ride, head up to Vidova Gora, the highest peak in the Adriatic islands, offering panoramic views over the coastline and surrounding islands.

    Ferry Back & Road to Dubrovnik

    Take the ferry back to the mainland and continue south along the Adriatic coast towards Dubrovnik. Cross the Pelješac Bridge and pass through Ston, known for its historic stone walls and coastal setting, before reaching Dubrovnik, the famous “Pearl of the Adriatic.”

    Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor & Lovćen Mountain Challenge

    Ride into Montenegro and follow the Bay of Kotor, where the Adriatic meets dramatic mountain scenery. Climb the famous Lovćen Mountain road, tackling its 25 serpentines with panoramic views over the bay. Continue via Njegoš Mausoleum before descending towards Podgorica.

    The Albanian Stelvio, Tara Canyon & Žabljak

    Ride into Albania and take on SH20, known as the Albanian Stelvio, famous for its tight hairpins and remote mountain scenery. Re-enter Montenegro and follow the spectacular Tara Canyon, the deepest canyon in Europe, before reaching Žabljak in Durmitor National Park.

    Montenegro’s Mountain Roads to Trebinje

    Ride through Montenegro’s scenic mountain roads towards Nikšić, before crossing back into Bosnia and Herzegovina. Follow the route around Bileća Lake and continue to Trebinje, a charming town with a Mediterranean atmosphere and historic old town.

    UNESCO Treasures & Historic Towns

    Ride through Herzegovina and explore some of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most important cultural landmarks. Visit the Radimlja necropolis, home to the medieval Stećci tombstones, continue to Blagaj Tekke at the source of the Buna River, and pass through Mostar with its iconic Old Bridge. End the day in Sarajevo, the vibrant capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

    Enjoy a flexible day in Sarajevo, a city known for its unique mix of cultures and rich history. Explore the old bazaar, visit Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian landmarks, or relax at a local café with traditional Bosnian coffee.

    Mysteries of the Bosnian Pyramids & Return to Banja Luka

    Ride from Sarajevo towards Visoko to visit the Bosnian Pyramids, a unique and mysterious site. Continue to Jajce, known for its medieval fortress and central waterfall, before following scenic roads trough the canyons of Vrbas River, back to Banja Luka.
