Bosnia’s countryside & Abandoned Airbase

After breakfast, we head northwest, delving into Bosnia and Herzegovina’s breathtaking Bosanska Krajina region.
We’ll cruise along the scenic Manjača Mountain and follow the historic “Put AVNOJ” road, a reminder of Bosnia’s rich past.
Crossing the border into Croatia, we arrive at Željava, a massive abandoned airbase from the Cold War era, nestled near the Croatian-Bosnian border. This hidden relic offers a hauntingly beautiful glimpse into history. Our day concludes at the UNESCO-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park, a marvel of cascading waterfalls, turquoise lakes, and lush forest trails an unforgettable natural spectacle.

Croatian Coastal Roads to Zadar

The ride takes us deeper into Serbia’s rich history and rugged landscapes. A stop at Manasija Monastery, a medieval fortress-monastery hidden in the hills, offers a glimpse into the country’s past. From there, we continue east through Zaječar, before crossing into Bulgaria, where the surreal rock formations of Belogradchik await a true natural wonder and the perfect backdrop for the night.

Adriatic Highway to Brač Island

Leaving Zadar, we continue south on the famed Jadranska magistrala (Adriatic Highway), winding along Croatia’s stunning coastline. Passing through the beautiful towns of Šibenik and Trogir, we’ll soak up the Mediterranean ambiance before arriving in Split. Here, we’ll board a short ferry to the island of Brač. Our destination is Bol, home to Zlatni Rat beach, often hailed as one of the most beautiful in Croatia. Over the next two days, we’ll relax on Brač, where white-pebble beaches and scenic coastal roads make it the perfect island retreat.

Rest Day on Brač Island

Enjoy a well-deserved rest day on Brač, where the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic beckon. Relax on Zlatni Rat beach, explore hidden coves, or take a short ride to Mount Vidova Gora—the highest peak on the Adriatic islands. From here, marvel at the panoramic views of the surrounding islands and coastline. Savor the local flavors of fresh seafood and Mediterranean cuisine in charming seaside restaurants. Today is all about recharging and soaking in the beauty of this stunning Croatian island.

Scenic Ferry & Coastal Ride to Dubrovnik

After breakfast, we board a ferry back to the mainland and resume our coastal drive toward Dubrovnik. Along the way, we’ll pass the remarkable Pelješac Bridge and stop at the medieval town of Ston, known for its impressive 5.5 km wall, one of the longest in Europe. In the afternoon, we arrive in Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage site famously known as the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” Wander through its ancient stone walls, explore the charming old town, and enjoy the vibrant cultural scene. We end our day in Trebinje, Bosnia’s southernmost town, with its own unique charm and welcoming ambiance.

Cultural Heritage & Scenic Mountain Roads

Our day begins in Trebinje, where we ride toward Bosnia’s hidden historical treasures. First, we visit the UNESCO-listed stećci tombstones at Radimlje, ancient markers with carvings that tell stories of the past. Next, we continue to Blagaj Tekke, a stunning 16th-century Dervish monastery set beside the source of the Buna River, surrounded by serene cliffs. We make our way to Mostar to see the iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a symbol of resilience and unity. Winding through beautiful landscapes, we pass through Jablanica and Konjic, eventually arriving in Sarajevo, Bosnia’s lively capital.

Ancient Pyramids & Return to Banja Luka

On our last full day, we set off from Sarajevo and stop to uncover the mystery of Bosnia’s ancient pyramids in Visoko. These intriguing structures captivate historians and adventurers alike. We continue on winding roads toward the historic town of Jajce, known for its medieval fortress and spectacular waterfall. From here, our route takes us through two magnificent canyons along the Vrbas River, offering a final scenic ride back to Banja Luka. This day is the perfect finale to our Adriatic Coast Motorcycle Tour.
