Welcome to Banja Luka! Upon your arrival, our team will be there to greet you and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel. Take the afternoon to unwind and get a feel for the city—Banja Luka’s charming cafes, local shops, and lively riverfront await. Later, meet your guides for a tour briefing and a short ride to get familiar with your bike. In the evening, join us for a welcome dinner as we discuss the highlights of the Balkan Rollercoaster tour and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Into Bosanska Krajina & the Abandoned Željava Airbase

Our adventure begins as we ride through the Bosanska Krajina region, known for its scenic backroads and rich history. Crossing into Croatia, we’ll stop at the Željava Airbase, a hidden Cold War relic built into the mountain, offering an eerie glimpse into a bygone era. By afternoon, we arrived at Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for its waterfalls and turquoise lakes. It’s the perfect spot to experience Croatia’s natural wonders firsthand.

Coastal Views on the Road to Zadar

Today, we take on one of Europe’s most celebrated coastal roads from Senj to Karlobag. This stretch is a biker’s dream, with endless views of the Adriatic and twisting roads carved into the cliffs. Our destination is Zadar, a historic port city with a lively old town and plenty of sights to explore, from Roman ruins to medieval landmarks. Soak in the sunset over the Adriatic and enjoy Zadar’s coastal charm as we wind down after an unforgettable day on the road.

Adriatic Highway & Island Life on Brač

Leaving Zadar, we continue south on the legendary Jadranska magistrala (Adriatic Highway), a road famous for its beautiful seaside views. Passing through Šibenik and Trogir, we eventually reach Split, where a short ferry ride will bring us to Brač Island. Known for its unique beaches and Mediterranean vibe, Brač is home to Zlatni Rat, one of Croatia’s most iconic beaches. We’ll settle in for two nights, giving us time to explore the island’s scenic routes and relaxed atmosphere.

Rest Day on Brač

Take a day to recharge on the beautiful island of Brač. Swim at Zlatni Rat, wander along hidden coves, or ride up to Vidova Gora, the Adriatic’s highest peak, for sweeping views of the surrounding islands. Enjoy a leisurely lunch of fresh seafood at a seaside restaurant and soak up the laid-back island lifestyle. Today is about unwinding and savoring Croatia’s coastal charm.

Ferry Back & Road to Dubrovnik

After breakfast, we ferry back to the mainland and set off along the scenic coastal road toward Dubrovnik. En route, we’ll cross the impressive Pelješac Bridge and make a stop in Ston, a medieval town renowned for its extensive fortress wall one of the longest in Europe. By late afternoon, we arrived in Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic.” This UNESCO World Heritage site captivates with its historic walls, narrow cobblestone streets, and vibrant atmosphere. Spend the evening soaking up the charm of Dubrovnik’s old town, where we’ll settle in for the night, surrounded by centuries of history and stunning views over the Adriatic Sea.

Montenegro’s Bay of Kotor & Lovćen Mountain Challenge

Today we ride south into Montenegro, beginning with the stunning Bay of Kotor, where the Adriatic meets rugged mountains. From here, we embark on the epic climb up Lovćen Mountain, tackling 25 sharp serpentines that will test our skills and reward us with breathtaking views. At the summit, we visit the Njegoš Mausoleum before descending to Podgorica, Montenegro’s capital, where we settle in for the night.

The Albanian Stelvio, Tara Canyon & Žabljak

This day takes us into Albania to conquer SH20, also known as the Albanian Stelvio. Famous for its steep hairpins and remote mountain views, this road is a thrilling highlight for any rider. Re-entering Montenegro, we make our way along the Tara River Canyon, the deepest canyon in Europe, as we reach the mountain town of Žabljak. Nestled in Durmitor National Park, Žabljak will be our base as we explore Montenegro’s wilderness.

Into the Heart of Durmitor National Park

Today is dedicated to Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO site and a haven for nature lovers. We’ll ride narrow mountain roads surrounded by alpine landscapes, dense forests, and glacial lakes. Passing Sedlo Pass and the dramatic Tara Canyon, we cover 140 kilometers through Montenegro’s wild terrain. This day captures the essence of the Balkan Rollercoaster, with rugged scenery and unforgettable riding.

Montenegro’s Mountain Roads to Trebinje

After a restful morning in Žabljak, we ride through Montenegro’s scenic backroads, heading toward Nikšić and crossing back into Bosnia. Our path takes us around Lake Bileća before we reach Trebinje, a picturesque town with a Mediterranean feel. Spend the evening exploring Trebinje’s historic old town and enjoying the relaxed southern vibe of Bosnia’s southernmost city.

UNESCO Treasures & Historic Towns

Today, we delve into Bosnia’s heritage sites. Starting in Trebinje, we visit the Radimlje necropolis, home to Bosnia’s ancient Stećci tombstones, now a UNESCO site. We continue to Blagaj Tekke, a peaceful 16th-century Dervish monastery built at the source of the Buna River. Our route then brings us to Mostar and its iconic Old Bridge, another UNESCO World Heritage site. We end the day’s ride in Sarajevo, Bosnia’s bustling capital.

Rest Day in Sarajevo

Enjoy a rest day in Sarajevo, a city of fascinating contrasts and rich history. Wander through the old bazaars, visit landmarks from the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian eras, or relax at a local café with a Bosnian coffee. This day is an invitation to experience Sarajevo’s unique blend of cultures and traditions at your own pace.

Mysteries of the Bosnian Pyramids & Return to Banja Luka

On our final riding day, we leave Sarajevo to visit the Bosnian pyramids near Visoko, a site shrouded in mystery. From there, we head to Jajce, a town with a medieval fortress and a majestic waterfall at its center. Our route leads us along two scenic canyons of the Vrbas River, culminating in a memorable ride back to Banja Luka. This final stretch is a fitting close to our Balkan Rollercoaster, celebrating the diverse beauty of the region.

Day 1

Upon your airport arrival, we'll be there to warmly welcome you and whisk you away to your hotel in Banja Luka, the vibrant capital of Republika Srpska and the beating heart of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Once you've settled into your accommodations, take some time to unwind and explore the city at your leisure. In the afternoon, our guides will convene at the hotel for a tour briefing and a quick ride to acquaint you with your motorcycle. Then, join us for a special welcome dinner, where we'll eagerly discuss the exciting adventures that lie ahead.

Day 2

Our adventure begins after a delightful breakfast, as we set off to explore the captivating "Bosanska Krajina" region in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As we cross into Croatia, we will make a special stop at the intriguing abandoned airbase Željava. This unique relic from the communist era is sure to fascinate and transport you to a different time. 

From there, our ultimate destination is the remarkable Plitvice National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its enchanting waterfalls, crystal-clear lakes, and abundant greenery.

Day 3

Today, we embark on a journey to Zadar. Traveling along the renowned Croatian coastal road – hailed as one of Europe's most awe-inspiring routes by bikers – linking Senj and Karlobag, we will be greeted by breathtaking coastal landscapes throughout the ride. Our path leads us to the ancient city of Zadar, once a hub of Dalmatia, inviting us to delve into its historical importance and cultural treasures.

Day 4

After bidding farewell to Zadar this morning, we continue our journey along the breathtaking "Jadranska magistrala," hugging the stunning Adriatic coast. We'll pass through picturesque towns like Šibenik and Trogir, where we'll be captivated by the coastal splendor. Our next stop is Split, where we'll embark on a short ferry ride to the enchanting island of Brač. This island is home to the charming town of Bol and the world-famous Zlatni Rat beach, often hailed as the most beautiful beach on the Croatian Adriatic. For the next two days, we'll immerse ourselves in the island's natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere, creating memories to cherish.

Day 5

Today is a well-deserved rest day on the picturesque island of Brač! Relax at Zlatni Rat beach, known for its stunning beauty. Explore hidden beaches, soak up the sun, and enjoy the island's tranquil atmosphere. For adventure seekers, visit Mount Vidova Gora, the Adriatic's highest peak, for breathtaking panoramic views. Indulge in local delicacies at seaside restaurants, savoring fresh seafood and Mediterranean flavors.

Day 6

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we'll continue our journey with a scenic ferry ride before returning to the coastal road. Along the way to Dubrovnik, we'll be captivated by the awe-inspiring Pelješac Bridge and the medieval town of Ston, renowned for its impressive 5.5 km long wall. Before reaching our final destination for the day, we'll take a leisurely break in the UNESCO-listed city of Dubrovnik, often called the "Pearl of the Adriatic." Explore its cobblestone streets, immerse yourself in its rich history within the ancient walls, and delight in the vibrant culture and culinary delights that make Dubrovnik a truly enchanting stop on our journey.

Day 7

On Day 7, our journey continues towards the southern coast, taking us to the stunning Bay of Kotor. From there, we'll embark on a thrilling adventure to climb the magnificent mountain Lovćen and visit the Njegoš Mausoleum. After a short break to soak in the breathtaking views from Lovćen, we'll make our way to the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica, where we'll conclude our day.

Day 8

The following morning, we'll cross into Albania to embark on a thrilling ride along the famous Albanian road SH20, also known as the Albanian Stelvio. After this exhilarating journey, we'll re-enter Montenegro and continue our exploration of this magnificent country with its stunning natural landscapes. Our route will take us through the breathtaking canyon of the Tara River, leading us all the way to Žabljak. Here, we'll spend a day and a half to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore its wonders.

Day 9

Day 9 will be dedicated to immersing ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of Durmitor National Park. We'll spend a significant portion of the day navigating narrow mountain roads, taking in all the stunning landscapes this national park has to offer. Passing through Sedlo, the picturesque Lake and Canyon of the River Piva, and riding alongside the awe-inspiring Canyon of the River Tara with its deepest gorges in Europe, we'll be surrounded by dense pine forests and clear lakes that harbor a rich variety of endemic flora. Covering 140 kilometers of pure joy and happiness, this day promises to be an unforgettable experience amidst nature's grandeur.

Day 10

After enjoying a leisurely half-day in Žabljak, we'll resume our journey along the circuit, setting our sights on Nikšić. From there, we'll cross into Bosnia and Herzegovina, traversing over Lake Bileća before descending to the charming city of Trebinje, the southernmost city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Day 11

Today, our journey unfolds with exploration of two captivating UNESCO World Heritage sites. We kick off our adventure after breakfast in Trebinje, where we delve into the ancient tales whispered by the Stećci tombstones in Radimlje. Continuing on, we'll be enchanted by the serene beauty of Blagaj Tekke and the source of the Buna River, immersing ourselves in the tranquility of this natural marvel. Next on our itinerary is the iconic Old Bridge in Mostar, a poignant symbol of history and cultural significance. As we traverse through breathtaking landscapes, passing through Jablanica and Konjic, we'll find ourselves drawn closer to Sarajevo, the vibrant capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Day 12

The rest day in Sarajevo promises a blend of relaxation and cultural immersion. We've reserved this day for a guided city tour, allowing you to explore the rich history and vibrant atmosphere of Sarajevo. Afterward, take time to unwind and savor the flavors of local cuisine, immersing yourself in the warm hospitality of this city, which hosted the Winter Olympic Games in 1984. Enjoy the day at your leisure, soaking in the charm and allure of Sarajevo.

Day 13

On our final day, we've reserved a grand finale to showcase the best of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Starting from Sarajevo, we'll begin with a brief stop to explore the mystery of Bosnia's ancient pyramids, delving into the intriguing history surrounding these enigmatic structures. As we journey onward, we'll delight in the excitement of navigating winding roads that lead us to the charming city of Jajce, renowned for its majestic waterfall and fortress perched above the city. Our route then guides us through two stunning canyons along the River Vrbas, offering breathtaking vistas along the way. Finally, we'll conclude our unforgettable motorcycle adventure as we return to Banja Luka, marking the end of our remarkable journey through Bosnia and Herzegovina.
